Descôtes Company- a family story

Created in 1858 by Joseph Descôtes, a journeyman resuming his touring France after his apprenticeship , Descôtes Company was born in the area of Vaise, in Lyons and is specialized in framework. Joseph , a master carpenter, is at the origin of the saga, 150 years ago.

Anthelme took suit and continued his father's Descôtes work.

The third generation of the Descôtes, represented by Philippe, launched a new joinery department. Then Yves Descôtes , Philippe's son, began the making and fitting of laminated timber.

Today Xavier is at the head of the company that moved to Civrieux d'Azergues and concentrates himself on the making of laminated timber and the fitting of clean rooms.

• 1858 : Creation of the company
• 1950 : First reference in pharmaceutical laboratory
• 1959 : appearance of laminated timber
• 1969 : creation of the limited company.
• 1991 : Building of a 1500 m² workshop
• 1997 : stopping of the framework fitting to develop the production .
• 2000 : Creation of a 2nd workshop of 900 m²
• 2005 : plywood appears in our range.
• 2008 : 150th company anniversary!
